Great End to a Great Semester

The Spring Sailing Season came to a close this past weekend as the 49ers sailed in the PCCSC Co-ed Pacific Coast Championships hosted by San Diego Yacht Club. It was a very busy weekend for our Co-ed Team as they sailed 16 races in each division with no breaks! The wind was shifty and the fleet was tough. It was a great learning experience for our 2 Freshman, Alex Demmler (skipper) and Julia Jaynes (crew) who were the only freshman sailing in the A division along with Junior Ari Zeen (crew). The B division boat was skippered by Team Captain Sunny Scarbrough and crewed by Anna Rubino. The B boat ended the regatta in 3rd and finished the last race of the regatta with a 1st to end, graduating senior, Anna's sailing career with the team with a bang. The team finished overall a very respectable 5th.
